About the 2006 Tour
Brad Paisley has announced the final dates for his 2006 tour, featuring
fellow label-mate Carrie Underwood. (See above for dates!)
Paisley’s TIME WELL WASTED TOUR was ranked in Pollstar Magazine as the 5th top country tour in attendance for the first half of 2006. Paisley’s “The World” is #1 for
the third consecutive week on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart while Carrie Underwood’s “Don’t Forget To Remember Me” goes to #1 in R&R.
Paisley’s fourth Arista Nashville album, Time Well Wasted, was released on August
16, 2005, and sold 192,747 units in its first week, setting a new career-high for Brad
and debuting at #1 on Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart and at #2 on the all-
genre Billboard 200 chart. The Platinum-certified disc held the #1 slot for two weeks
and became the fourth of Paisley’s back-to-back Platinum + albums, with his total
sales now topping 7 million. Paisley recently brought home the most wins from the Academy of Country Music Awards, with Album of the Year.
Underwood debuted on the country music scene in late 2005 as one of the most
dynamic success stories to emerge out of Nashville. Her 19 Recordings/Arista
Nashville album, Some Hearts, is now triple Platinum for sales over 3,000,000 units
and has become the fastest such certification for a female country debut in RIAA
history and Nielsen SoundScan’s fastest-selling debut country album by a female
vocalist. Underwood placed both her first two country singles at #1- “Jesus, Take
The Wheel” (#1 for six weeks) and “Don’t Forget To Remember Me.”
